Bael's Phobia

The demon of shyness, Bael, is so timid that he is very tiny to avoid being seen. But when he goes on Earth for the first time he is surrounded by his worst nightmare: colorful insects. Still being a demon, Bael will try to fight endless waves of insects using his demonic magic. 

Concept: Bael's Phobia is a 2D Vampire Survivor-like game in which the player evolves in an endless map. To win, they have to complete a level, that is to say survive all the way to the end and defeat the bosses. During the game the player have to slay the insects and collect their souls to upgrade their abilities while using intelligently their skills. 

What I did: In this project I took the role of a game designer, system designer and sound designer. I needed to establish how much damage the player will inflict, how much life he would win, the timing of appearance of the bosses related to the progress of the player and define the statistics of every spells, objects and enemies. The main challenge was to predict the average growth rate of the player to increase the difficulty accordingly.
